More than 25,000 people call on Papa John’s to add vegan cheese

Posted on the 10th January 2019

Our joint petition with Vegan Food UK has amassed more than 25,000 signatures.

This is a fantastic achievement over such a short period of time, and shows that there is a demand for more vegan food on the high street and indeed vegan cheese at Papa John’s.

Veganism is continuing to grow, mainly out of an increasing concern for animal welfare and the environment. As such, companies need to take heed of such trends and introduce more vegan options, or face being left behind.

Papa John’s is one of the only major pizza chain to not offer a vegan cheese alternative, despite being very vegan friendly with their bases and sauces. It is time for them to up their vegan game, and there has never been a better time to do it.

Papa John’s have told us that they are currently ‘reviewing the options that would answer the needs of vegans to [their] menu’, so it is vital that we continue to let them know that there is a demand for more plant-based options.
